My Journey
After two decades performing complex gastrointestinal surgeries, I began to notice a pattern: many of my patients' conditions had roots far deeper than what the scalpel could reach. Chronic inflammation, autoimmune responses, and metabolic dysfunction pointed to a system-wide conversation between the gut and the brain that conventional medicine was only beginning to understand.
That realization launched a parallel journey — into functional medicine, microbiome science, and the emerging field of psychogastroenterology. I didn't abandon the OR. I expanded the conversation.
Today my practice integrates surgical precision with evidence-based wellness strategies. I help patients understand that their gut is not just a digestive organ — it's a command center for immunity, mood, and metabolic health.
My MBA in healthcare leadership gives me the strategic lens to translate these insights into programs, publications, and policies that reach beyond the exam room. My mission: make integrative GI health the standard, not the alternative.
Areas of Focus
Advanced surgical and non-surgical approaches to digestive disorders, from IBD to functional GI conditions. Treating the whole system, not just the symptom.
Pioneering clinical applications of the gut-brain axis — how your microbiome influences mood, cognition, stress response, and neurological health.
Combining evidence-based conventional treatments with functional medicine protocols: targeted nutrition, microbiome restoration, stress physiology, and lifestyle optimization.
Developing new clinical frameworks, digital health programs, and speaking platforms that translate cutting-edge GI science into actionable wellness strategies.

Insights
Emerging research reveals that the trillions of microorganisms in your gut produce neurotransmitters that directly influence mood, cognition, and stress response. Understanding this connection is the first step toward whole-body wellness.
After two decades in the operating room, I've seen how conventional surgery addresses symptoms while often missing root causes. Integrative approaches complement surgical precision with the body's own healing intelligence.
From targeted prebiotics to time-restricted eating, these clinically validated approaches can reshape your gut flora in as little as two weeks. No supplements required — just strategic lifestyle shifts.
A surgeon's morning used to mean coffee and adrenaline. Now it starts with breathwork, cold exposure, and a gut-supporting breakfast. The results — in focus, stamina, and patient outcomes — speak for themselves.
